keyoke works without an account, and always will. Signing in adds one thing: your history, your Typing DNA and your weakness profile follow you between devices instead of living in a single browser.

Your browser stays the copy that counts. A sync sends what is here, merges it with what the server holds, and brings the result back — the same data you can already export to a file. Nothing is sent unless you ask for it.
